Grand Seiko 43999 "Self-Dater"

SKU: Achong1

The Grand Seiko 43999 is one of the most significant vintage models in the brand's history. Released in late 1963, it is known as the "Self-Dater" and represents the second generation of Grand Seiko (GS57).

The 43999 is highly sought after because it bridges the gap between the first Grand Seiko (3180) and the modern 44GS grammar of design. This watch has the "Applique Dial", which features a triangle with three lines radiating from the center, meaning the markers are rhodium-plated rather than solid gold. This change occurred around early 1964.
